40 swg Copper Wire.
Anyone know where I can buy a small spool of 40 swg copper wire for
rewinding a magnet?
4oz. will be more than enough.
I've looked at Maplins, but they don't go down that far.
I found some at http://www.wires.co.uk/acatalog/ax_ec_wire.html
but a 500g spool at £24 before postage is a last resort.
Thanks in advance.
 Regards,
    Dave Carter

We've probably got that size at the factory, we keep 3mm down to 0.10mm in Grade
2 coated copper. I'll check later and see what we have.

We have 0.08mm, 0.10mm and 0.125mm, all coated.

40G is 0.125 according to our tables.

Peter,
Thank you for your offer. I'll send you an email off-line,
probably tommorrow evening or after the weekend.

A bit of background to the problem.
