9" angle grinder
I sometimes wonder how low these prices can drop.
There's 9" angle grinders on eBay for £34.95 £7.95 P&P.
I recently bought a 5" angle grinder from Aldi for about £13 (can't
remember the exact price). At 1000W it should out perform my 4.5" one.

It makes you wonder what with the price of oil and scrap constantly
going up how the the Chinese produce things ever cheaper, theres got to
be a tipping point somewhere.

Re: 9" angle grinder
As witheverything else the quality drops with the price. My employer's
workshop is often full with small oriental generator and welding sets which
self destruct on a regular basis and aren't worth even looking at, never
mind repairing. I bought a cheap and nasty 18v Battery drill not too long
ago thinking that it would last forever because I don't use it much. Ha-Ha
it was the battery and charger that self destructed ,replacement parts not
available, so the whole thing joined the gensets in the works skip!! You
gets what you pay for !!!!

Re: 9" angle grinder
The Chinese are currently applying "Japanese Motorbike" tactics. In ten
years time we will all be mourning the total disappearance of the good old
British manufacturing industry, or at least whats left of it. You have been
warned!!!!

Check the weight of the £40 ones vs. the £80 ones. They're about twice
the weight.
