will any CS pistons fit JP engines, as there the same bore size ?

I think that you will find that while the liners of the CE and JP are similar,
there are dimensional differences (compression height, gudgeon pin etc)on the
pistons that means that they are not interchangeable.

I'll stand to be corrected on that, but as far as I know, that is the position.

Early JPs *were* CSs, the JP dedsignation came in during WWII.
Might not be the answer you were looking for, though.
