All independent research, I.E. that not paid for by those with an agenda,
disagrees with you.

It might also be worth your while looking at those societies where
cannabis has been used extensively for thousands of years and asking
yourself why they don't look on it as an addictive substance. You'd think
they would have noticed people becoming addicted by now if it were,
wouldn't you?

On a personal basis, I've been using cannabis for over 40 years and have
never come across anyone whose behaviour even hints at an addiction to it.
I used to grow my own and smoked continually (as in all day, every day)
for over seven years. I then moved and was no longer able to grow because
my new house had a small garden overlooked by neighbours and I won't grow
under artificial conditions, only organically, outdoors. I now spend long
periods, up to six months at a time, without a smoke and have never
suffered any adverse physical or psychological effects as a result.
Unlike what I went through giving up tobacco a couple of years ago.

It's possible that the stuff grown under artificial lights, and fed on
chemicals, that's sold to people as cannabis these days might have some
degree of addictive effect but that shouldn't be confused with /real/
cannabis. Just as the substance known as 'soap' shouldn't be confused
with hashish. They're both crap and anyone that puts them in their body
shouldn't be surprised at any adverse effects that ensue.

It can disgree all it wants. That is democracy. My experience
as well as many others says they are very much wrong.

Cannabis is addictive .

But like any other addictive drug - most people can kick the habit it
they want too .

If they take it day in, day out, they would never get withdrawal as they
would never be without. No withdrawal - no addiction. They'd also find
themselves less likely to get cancer, Alzheimer's and, possibly, asthma,
although they may have a problem with bronchitis. Evidence also suggests
that moderate use of marijuana increases IQ slightly, but measurably. GWP
have shown that high CBD forms of weed suppress some of the worst symptoms
of psychosis

I wouldn't say Cannabis increases IQ. It can however bring out
latent intelligence. This is demonstrated by the way it so often
turns on music and art channels in the mind that a toker might not
otherwise have found had they not toked.

There was research in 2002 that prohibitionists fell on with their usual
glee that showed very heavy marijuana use reduced IQ. What they didn't
spot in their rush to publish another downside to weed was that the same
research showed that moderate use increased IQ.

"Results: Current marijuana use was significantly correlated (p < 0.05) in
a dose- related fashion with a decline in IQ over the ages studied. The
comparison of the IQ difference scores showed an average decrease of 4.1
points in current heavy users (p < 0.05) compared to gains in IQ points
for light current users (5.8), former users (3.5) and non-users (2.6)."
