Joy's International Sewing Machines Limited - Any Good?
Hi

Has anyone had any experience (or knowledge) of Joy's International
Sewing Machines Limited? And of their machines of course :-)

Since our ten-year-old New Home sewing machine died after being dropped
on the floor, we're looking for an inexpensive sewing machine - for
occasional use only. After Googling about, we've found the range that
can be seen at:

http://www.jsm-distributordirect.com/html/frameset_domestic.html

We've only found a couple of complaints way back in 2005 - and we would
have thought that there would have been more smoke since, if the company
or their sewing machines were dodgy.

Another thing that puzzles me is the difference(s) between their various
models. Reading the specs they all seem to be the same (though they do
look slightly different). We've emailed the company but haven't so far
had a response.

We use our sewing machine mainly for hemming and alterations with little
actual dressmaking.

We'd appreciate *constructive* responses and not the usual "if it's that
cheap it *must* be rubbish" comments.

Thanks in advance for any replies.
