Very o/t Samsung Fridge/freezer
This might be of interest to somebody
I have a Samsung American style fridge/freezer which started getting very
noisy. Then it got noisier, but the noise stopped when I opened the fridge
door. Eventually the temperature indicator on the fridge started to go up
and down and the fridge got warm.
I rang a local freezer repair place, and when I told him the model he was
honest enough to tell me that its a known design fault on the model. He gave
me Samsungs number, I rang them yesterday and they came out today and fixed
it FOC
Apparently so long as its under 5 years old they put them right

yep this was on Watchdog, they got a real hammering over it before they
decided to fix them FOC. There are 2 models that i know of that are affected
so if anyone has one it might be worth checking their website

This happened to us a couple of years ago. We had the blokes out twice to
fix it, the second time they replaced the whole cooler section, but we still
had problems, and eventually we upgraded to the one with the water dispenser
(annoyed me, but pleased Nick, cos that's the one he wanted all along)
