Royal Mint/Royal Mail liaison on special issues?
Does anybody collect UK stamps AND UK coins? I'm wondering if there is
ever any clash between the subjects of their special issues. For
instance, Christian Feldhaus told us over on the other group that the
UK is to issue a special 50p for Kew Gardens in 2009. Is it just
possible that the Royal Mail might have the same idea for a special
issue of stamps? And would it matter?

I imagine Royal anniversaries are commemorated both on stamp and coin,
but I don't know how often that is the case for other subjects/themes/
anniversaries.

Adam.
