Gold Sovereign
I have two gold sovereigns. 1825 George IV Gold Sovereign - Laureate
Head (XF45) another is a 1841 Gold Sovereign Victoria Young Head Shield
(XF45).

Is it better to auction them or sell them to a dealer??

If auctioned, Ebay or a Coin site...if dealer, who? I'm located in
mid-eastern US.

Re: Gold Sovereign
As they are both scarce dates, especially the 1841, auction may be the way
to go but bear in mind that a USA XF45 may be a good fine in the UK so do
not base your expectations on a UK catalogue value as you may be
disappointed.

Gold UK coins usually do well on ebay but is more of gamble than a live
auction.. Billy
