Removing Ford (Sony) 6 cd unit
Hi,

I am trying to remove a Sony 6 cd unit (double DIN) from my Ford Mondeo.
It's a company car and has hands free phone fitted which goes through the
radio. I want to remove this hands free kit before the car goes back to the
leasing company and I get a new car on Monday. Just found that I can't do
this without removing the cd radio to get at hte speaker connection and
don't have the necessary keys. Can't get any now so is there any improvised
method of removing the unit, tried inserting a penknife blade but no
success.
Any help appreciated.

Thanks John,

Didn't think Halfords would do these, I expected I would have to go to a
specialist car audio shop.

Re: Removing Ford (Sony) 6 cd unit
I have used the Autoleads PC593 VAG group removal keys in the past on
the newer Ford/Sony CD units, they are sold in pairs normally and you
need 4, one for each corner.

Re: Removing Ford (Sony) 6 cd unit

the newer Ford/Sony CD units, they are sold in pairs normally and you
need 4, one for each corner.
