Attenuate Button not working proper
Hi all

I have a Sony head unit in my car and the sound keeps going off and the ATT
sign is displayed.
This looks like the Attenuate function is not working correctly, used to
work fine.
Any clues as to how this can be checked/fixed? or is a new unit needed?

Cheers

If the phone mute lead on the back of the unit is intermittantly
touching down to ground, this will cause the unit to mute in this
manner.

Thanks Jon

Any clues as to what colour this phone mute wire is?

I did slide the unit out of its case the other day and put it back in so
maybe a wire (the one you suggest) is indeed touching something which is
causing a short circuit.
