200W Heater
Hi,

I have a Juwel Rio 180 tank with the supplied 200W heater.

I would like to know how efficient that is. Is it on all the time?. If not
how often (on average)?
The reason I ask is that my electricity bill has gone through the roof and
the only thing I can think that is doing it is the fish tank!

I have 3 Juwel tanks and the heaters should only come on/stay on for as
long as the temperture is below what you have set it for (a themometer is
definately handy at this point ).
You may want to check it's not stuck on.

Is the room the tank is in heated ?
As if not, the Juwel heaters will be on all the time.
I hardly ever see any of mine on at all except for water changes if I use
cooler water.
