Glass Sliding cover set - plastic double runners
Does anyone know where I can purchase in the UK the two plastic double
runners which sit front and back of the tank, on the horizontal
support strips?

Each sheet of glass can be moved in its runner to allow access to half
the tank

I've got plenty of glass to cut to size, but no runners, just curious,
as to whatelse they are used for?

Try a DIY store.
If it's the "E" section plastic strip you mean, then it gets used in
cupboard making for sliding doors.
