I am having a problem with persistant whitespot, only affecting my one
clown loach. I have tried serveral whitespot treatment, but the problem
persists

Is it only 1 whitespot? If so watch out but don't worry it could just be 
a marking on the fish. I'm a white guy that has a few brown spots on me. 
Also one on my glowlight tetras has a white spot right between the eyes, 
so don't worry unless you see more than just A white spot. But if it is 
ICK be carefull of what you use CLown loaches are a scaleless fish, alot 
of meds are not good for them. IMO turn up the temp to about 28C, and 
add some salt. CL loaches like the warm water anyway.  good luck with

I've had very mixed results treating Ich/Whitespot with the very few 
medications available in the UK - Interpet Anti Whitespot and Protozin. 
  If you've tried both with no success I suggest that you follow 
Justice's advice ie. turn up the temperature and add some salt (with 
caution - Clown's don't like salt either) - I would suggest 1tsp per 
gallon of added water (so it comes up gradually). Frequent water changes 
are also key to treating without medication. These need to be done daily 
(around 20%) - make sure that you vaccuum the gravel thoroughly each time.

Look for any underlying causes. I know there are a variety of opinions 
on this but IME stress is a major factor in not being able to shift Ich. 
  This could be water quality, lack of hiding places, bullying etc. I 
notice that you say your "one Clown Loach" - do you mean that you just 
have the one or is it just one Clown Loach affected? If you just have 
the one this could be the cause of the stress - Clown Loaches are 
sociable fish and need their own kind to thrive. Of course, if this is 
the factor causing the problem it becomes catch 22 as you can't add any 
more fish until this one is cured.
