Ill Bristlenose (ancistrus sp)
I hope someone can help.

I just got back from a weekend away and found my male ancistrus looking very
ill. The female seems to be guarding him, just sitting next to him.

He has lost colour , and seems to have a large, bulging stomach (his
underside area). My partner was feeding them & they have only had their
regular food. He is lethargic too.

I have no idea what this might be, or if there is a treatment. I have had
him for about 3 years and he is about 41/2 " nose to tail with very fine
bristles.

Mrs Glass-snogger & I are very worried about him so I hope there is a
treatment.

Julie
