Lot's of good examples snipped of the 'praise sandwich'. All Scout Leaders
(and Coaches) (and managers) need to live by the praise sandwich. You did
that bit really well (praise at the bottom), you need to work on this bit
(the useful stuff in the middle), but it's coming along nicely/I'm really
pleased/we would have missed you if you'd drowned (bit of praise on top).
But it must all be true, even if that makes the bits of bread very thin!

Cubs don't care how much you know, but they need to know how much you care.

Camping footwear
What do you wear on your feet at camp. ?
After a weekend in a green field site I have decided that I need new
footwear. I usually wear my hiking boots - but really they are 1) too
expensive and good (proper leather boots) and 2) too heavy for
trudging around a field of long wet grass all weekend.
I need a cross between very comfy wellies and hike boots - ,
waterproof, fleece lined, well padded, tall to ward off damp grass,
soft but tough,
What do you wear...???
