Chief Scout Handover
Just seen the announcement made yesterday that the handover from Peter
Duncan to Bear Grylls will take place at Gilwell during the Explorer Scout
24 weekend.

Is anyone going?

I'm not as I'm not an ESL but even if I was would possibly not due to
distance/cost etc.

Re: Chief Scout Handover
Cool, I'll be there with Scafell helping to run the roped activities.
Yet another reason to look forward to that weekend.

Anyone know where/how to get CS's Gold Award certificates with the new
CS's signature on them? Our stock is from the guy before PD.

Thanks.

Personally I wish they wonldn't put the signature on them for that very
reason - they go out of date ... or maybe that's the plan ... ;o)

The cost a a few quid for 10 and the chief scout is in office for 5 years.

Surely it can't be that hard to judge in normal circumstances.

Or why not get your District or County to get them and present them then you
will never hold old stock.

The problem is that our stock is out of date, and probably the stock
in any of the places I could order them from will be out-of-date PD
stock.

That's a good idea - maybe I'll do that.
