Top Gear Ski/Paraglide Race
Did anyone see last week's typically daft Top Gear race against a couple of
skiers/paragliders? That looked insanely dangerous given how close they were
flying to the ground/rocks/cliffs/trees!
If anyone missed it, it's repeated on BBC3 at 8:30 tonight. The race starts
about 20 minutes into the programme.

Re: Top Gear Ski/Paraglide Race
Oh yeah, did anyone else recognise the "great" Welsh road that Jeremy tested
the Mercedes on?
I recognised it instantly, one of my favourite roads...

Yes, I caught that. We were both impressed with how they were fusing
skiing and flying into one, our own skiing being rather more sedate!
The estate car was crap: no proper roof rails! ;-)

A quick Google of the skiers involved, Antoine Montant & Francois Bon,
gives a good idea of what sort of thing they can do.
Antoine Montant is also quite adept at the Infinity Tumble (very mad
paragliding acro stunt - think 'loop the loop'), and Francois Bon has
done a similar speedflying stunt down Mont Blanc, dropping 1000m per
minute!!
