Cairngorm Diary
I took a quick stroll the other week, from the Cairngorm Ski lift
carpark around on to Cairn Lochan, over the northern corries and onto
Cairngorm itself, before dropping down the cobble path (looked just like
Coronation Street!) to the Ptarmigan restaurant, and back to the car
park. Lousy weather, rain, hail, and thick cloud. Couldn't see more
than a few yards for most of the walk. Generally miserable stuff, but
it did set me off a' Googling for Cairngorm info on the web and I found
this excellent report of a 5 day trek in the area back in 1932.

Quite long, but well worth a read.
