It seems to be spring
I have noticed many of the signs over the last week. Woodies collecting
straw oblivious to passing traffic my 7 tonner is bright yellow didn't stop
two flying straight at it straw in beak, Partridge leking which I admit is a
new one to me I've seen plenty of red grouse at the lek but since we only
have a few on the shoot a new experience. The clincher was today back from
training the dogs and a large frog was lurking at the bottom of the drinker
which is late compared to previous years the green fellows usually drop in
during late january.
