37th ORC/PRI World Final
The 37th ORC/PRI World Final was won by Paul Whiteman, with 2005 winner
Matt Fuller in second place and Steve Bailey, representing Autospeed, in
third place.

The result was changed when it was found that Dale Hughes, who had found
himself unexpectedly passing the post first following a controversial head
on close to home between race leader Jason Jackson and Ian Beaumont, was
judged to have changed a part on his car after pre-meeting scrutineering
and the race which made the car illegal, therefore disqualifying him.

The race was restarted twice; the first time following a two point
rollover by John Seex after he clipped Malcolm Fuller and the kerb on turn
three, the second when Buxton's Steve Thacker was demolished on the bridge
bend wall. Both Beaumont, who had pole position for the race, and Jackson,
who is the current holder of the Unlimited title but has never been able
to win the PRI title, may be the subject of further penalties but neither
took any further part in the meeting.

See the usual sites for further reports.
