Ummm, I have a mint copy of that issue that I just dug out of the desk.
I'll see how much that one goes for before listing it on ebay.

The only old bike mags that fetch decent money are ones that contain
original tests of some desirable classic bike - T120 Bonnie, Jota, Z1,
RD350LC, Kettle, R90/S etc.
That said, your archive has paid for itself many times over.

I'm sure people are mis-reading the description and thinking it's like a
Bacon restoration guide. The RD bit is only 9 pages!

What's interesting isthat you used to be able to download the hi-res
PDFs for free from Classic Bike's website, but I've just had a peek and
they've taken the site down, effectively.

To my regret SWMBO made me throw out a whole pile of Motorcyclist
Illustrated (Alan Aspel, Dave Minton etc.) magazines some years ago. I
managed to keep my hands on the many Motorcycle Sport issues though.

I see it is owned by Bauer according to
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Classic_Bike
I assume it was a former EMAP publication. I'm guessing that EMAP retained
copyright to the back catalogue as online archives of other titles don't
seem to be available either e.g. the product tests that RiDE did before the
takeover are no longer available.

Right again.

I have no idea. I think it's more likely that Bauer has decided that
they don't want to give stuff away when they can sell it, and if they're
watching eBay, they'll know they're right.
