Unfortunately the whining is from MAG so immediately fails the worth
paying attention to test even if on a rare occasion they're right.

I must admit that if I was supposed to be taking the tougher test and
was being told to take the old easier one instead then I think I'd be
accepting my fate gracefully.

Maybe so, but HMG trousering the additional £20 is taking the whassname
somewhat.

On the other hand, if someone said:

'You can take the new, harder test for £x or the older, easier test, but
it will cost you £x+£20', what would you do?

I know it's not exactly the situation, but I'd STFU about it if I were
due to take a test.

Correct. It's not at all the situation.

When was the last increase in fees? Could just be a few years worth of
fee increases (past and future) rolled into one. They just decided to
do it at the same time as the new test.

As many of us did! Its been in a constant state of flux over the years.
I'm not a young fucker but my test was done on the boundaries of we're
making it difficult next year.

Pay the cash now! Its the way forwards! They'll only want more later.

This kind of vox-pop style reporting is par for the course with
Newsbeat. They'd rather find someone to whinge about not getting their
money back for a quick soundbite than actually try and tell the more
interesting story about the huge amount they are spending on the new
tests and how it may or may not improve rider standards.

I don't see what they're moaning about, they get an easier test.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the

The start of a 700 grand "collection" apparently.
