The features list says "Freeview Playback Phase 2" as far as I can
work out from the jargon, phase 2 is series link and alternate
recordings. Phase 3 seems to be one button recording from a trailer,
which doesn't yet seem to have been implemented.

As I said to Dan - I dunno. You've both in effect confirmed that the
9200 doesn't offer Freeview+. What it offers might be as good as
Freeview+, or even the same thing under a different name. That's for
you to decide!

Yea, it doesn't specifically say Freeview+ - but it does seem to do
something, seemingly using the same signals and doing the same job heh. I
was really impressed by it with the BTCC and GFOS recordings :-)

Well I've put it into the parents court to decide which one, of three
they'd go for by including the refurbished 9200tbx. Hopefully I've
given an accurate summation of the differences.

Yes Mate, you and Colin have both helped clarify things and pointed me
towards Humax. So having given them the information by phone yesterday
they went into Comet and bought the 9300, currently £179.99 there.

I expect to be going to their place later to set it up ;-)

Pfff, plug it in, press ok a few times, done :-)

I'm sure it'll be good to them if my experiences of the 9200 are anything to
go by, and Colin seems happy with his 9300.

Basically yes, however, I had to go back later when aged parent had
managed to start series recording BBC News 24 and couldn't then stop
it. She saw the press the red button screen prompt for text, so
pressed the record button because that's got a red dot on it.
