It lives, it breathes, its MOT'd
I have finally put my SO Suzuki LS650 back together and it passed its MOT
yesterday. Given that I dismantled it last September (it was supposed to be
a winter project) I am glad I finally got round to finishing it. The only
problem in preparing it for the MOT was the throttle cable routing. The
engine was accelerating on full right lock. It took three attempts to get
the routing right as it passes through several other cables and various
narrow gaps. This was a hassle as getting the petrol tank off and on is a
bastard. I reckon that in the factory they must add the fuel tap after
putting the tank on the frame because it fouls the frame tube when the tank
is being removed/replaced (thus requiring much wrestling and swearing).

I am now trying to decide whether to keep it as a runabout or throw it on
ebay. I also treated the ST3 to a new clutch slave cylinder, which has
improved the clutch action considerably. All in all a worthwhile few hours
of fettling
