Misano 250
Simoncelli vs Barbera - madness

Tody Moody comment "you toucha my car, I smasha your face". Not far off
what's happening on track.

I can't believe that Barbera managed to make it to the end of the race
without someone kicking him off

And boy did he deserve a kicking.

<Devil's advocate mode>
Well considering Simoncelli punted Barbera over the handlebars on the main
straight at Mugello, I'd say it was a bit of pay back.
<DAM>

He's a liability though. Never the same line twice.

Simoncelli will race the race but he's not like an unguided exocet
missile. A bit of mad bumping and barging is what 125s is all about.

Which is surely the issue. It looks deliberate and is borderline between
"racing tactics" and plain stupidity. Judging purely as an armchair
spectator there is generally a way round a track with some scope for
varied lines at key points to overtake etc. He just seems to be here,
there and everywhere regardless of what the other riders are doing. The
odd brilliant rider can take obtuse lines and get away with them -
Rossi, for example - and not threaten to take out half the field at the
same time. I don't view Barbera as being in the same class as
Valentino.
