back
that t9 gearbox for the starcraft...
got it back today, i took it to a place in sheffield, who do ginetta kit
cars...cos a scrap yard i went to said they send them the gearboxes..
anway had syncros changed, rebuilt and all sorted, cost me 150 squids..said
its like new now and should have ATF fluid
now...the new clutch kit is 130 quid, but they can get a refurbed for 56,
and as im totally skint now, whats the main diff? are refurbed clutches bad?

A refurb clutch will have had the actual abrasive material on the plate
replaced. That will be as good as new. The main question is the
diaphragm. I would not recommend a second hand one - you never know
where it's been.

Fine if you just want to sell or don't plan on having it for long. If
you want to keep the old girl that is a major service item so get the
best you can and it will last years.
Take a chance on stuff that wont cost a fortune to fix, but don't take
a chance on clutches.
