Motorhomes in Australia, any advice
Hi,
We will be going to Australia for 6 months in October.
As our son now lives in Melborne so we will buy a motorhome/campervan
and do some touring.
Anyone done this?
Any advice on types of van and driving in Australia?
Thanks

Well, I have driven in Austraslia, I was there in August this year
(business trip). But this was a hire car not a motorhome, and my
driving was confined to the southern suburbs of Sydney.
Still, I didn't have too many problems, the main one being that you
need to beware of right turns. I was inconvenienced by several
junction where, having worked out a route on the map, I found "No
right Turn" signs in inconvenient paces. On one occasion this
required a detour of several miles before I found a place to tuen
round.
But in general driving there is simple enough.
