Campsites in Germany
Can anyone recommend some camp sites in germany, suitable for a
motorhome? My children are 14, 10 and 8 so a camp site with plenty to
do would be the most ideal. Thanks

Kate:

Germany is a very big place! Are you planning on going to a particular
area? If you can narrow this down a little it's much easier to make
suggestions.

I'd recommend getting a copy of the 'Caravan Europe 2' book published by the
Caravan Club (non members can purchase this but it costs a little more).
This gives a good overview many German campsites with feedback and comments
from members who have stayed there. The book also covers
Benelux/Austria/Eastern Europe/Switzerland/Greece/Italy/Scandinavia. (FYI
the 'Caravan Europe 1' book covers France/Spain/Portugal/Andorra)

Don't be put off by the name 'Caravan Europe' all the advice on sites
equally applies to motorhomes.

Hope this helps.

Nigel.

Contact (telephone) these folks and request a brochure :
http://www.select-site.co.uk/index.cfm

Have a look at :
http://www.eurocampings.co.uk/en/europe/germany/

And at :
http://www.suncampholidays.co.uk/search-and-book/search/europe/germany/

None of the sites we've used over the last 20+ years have much in the
way of facilities for children but may also want to take a look at :
http://tinyurl.com/5rv5xw (theme parks), there's generally a campsite
nearby.

There are also stellplatze on farms etc. which might be of interest.
