The Marine and freshwater misc. groups are hobby fish keeping groups,

This is easy to remember. I have "caught" exactly 4 Cottonmouths, although I
don't believe that "caught" is exactly the right word. The fact is that I
intentionally snagged each in the back with oversized Abu-Reflex inline
spinners by casting across their backs & then jerking hard when the lures
were just dangling past their backs, burying the hooks deep in them.
There is a small downside to such antics: First, I ran out of those prized
lures. Also, of course I always seemed to fall & skin myself up badly as I
ran away in terror. I can't really say that I eventually grew out of stupid
things like this... I just ran out of the lures.

A bloody great grass snake whilst spinning for perch. Hateful things, didn't
know it was a snake, last thing I thought it would be.I said to my mate,
''First eel of the season'', after that, all hell broke loose. Must have
been a funny sight, a 6ft bloke screaming like a girl whilst doing the
quickest highland fling anyone has seen. I now look before I hand land my
fish!

Two years ago my brother and I were fishing at Lake Thunderbird, near
Norman, Oklahoma. On a cast from the dam my brother snared a wayward
seagull in midair. The angry bird couldn't fly in that condition. My
brother had to real him in and untangle him from the line. What a mess.
The rest of us on shore just watched in a bemused amazement.
When it was all over the bird flew away, no doubt wondering what that was
all about.

This is easy to remember. I have "caught" exactly 4 Cottonmouths, although I
don't believe that "caught" is exactly the right word. The fact is that I
intentionally snagged each in the back with oversized Abu-Reflex inline
spinners by casting across their backs & then jerking hard when the lures
were just dangling past their backs, burying the hooks deep in them.
There is a small downside to such antics: First, I ran out of those prized
lures. Also, of course I always seemed to fall & skin myself up badly as I
ran away in terror. I can't really say that I eventually grew out of stupid
things like this... I just ran out of the lures.

Two years ago my brother and I were fishing at Lake Thunderbird, near
Norman, Oklahoma. On a cast from the dam my brother snared a wayward
seagull in midair. The angry bird couldn't fly in that condition. My
brother had to real him in and untangle him from the line. What a mess.
The rest of us on shore just watched in a bemused amazement.
When it was all over the bird flew away, no doubt wondering what that was
all about.

This is easy to remember. I have "caught" exactly 4 Cottonmouths, although I
don't believe that "caught" is exactly the right word. The fact is that I
intentionally snagged each in the back with oversized Abu-Reflex inline
spinners by casting across their backs & then jerking hard when the lures
were just dangling past their backs, burying the hooks deep in them.
There is a small downside to such antics: First, I ran out of those prized
lures. Also, of course I always seemed to fall & skin myself up badly as I
ran away in terror. I can't really say that I eventually grew out of stupid
things like this... I just ran out of the lures.

know it was a snake, last thing I thought it would be.I said to my mate,

quickest highland fling anyone has seen. I now look before I hand land my

Two years ago my brother and I were fishing at Lake Thunderbird, near
Norman, Oklahoma. On a cast from the dam my brother snared a wayward
seagull in midair. The angry bird couldn't fly in that condition. My
brother had to real him in and untangle him from the line. What a mess.
The rest of us on shore just watched in a bemused amazement.
When it was all over the bird flew away, no doubt wondering what that was
all about.
