Law on childrens car seats
What is the law about lap belts and car seats on the middle of the backseat.

I want to fit a 3rd car seat inbetween the two on the back left and back
right but theres only a lapbelt. I have found a lap belt on car seat from
mothercare but I was concerned if its legally allowed as when the feet of
the base are extended to touch the floor they are wedged on that hump thing
on the floor but its all secure. I was just wondering if this is safe, legal
?

Thanks
Googling it as we speak but having trouble finding the answer.

Fuck the law. What does common sense tell you is likely to happen if
you use a lapbelt with a kiddy seat the event of an accident?

It's something I'd never ever do.

Look on the bright side - there's a fighting chance her genes won't get
the chance to pollute a further generation.

There are kid seats specifically made for this purpose. I hadn't actually
thought about it in reality no being the best idea. Hmm could be time for a
people carrier upgrade.

Sell the kids or give them away, it's cheaper in the long run.

Maybe you're thinking of booster seats. We had a child seat that could be
secured using a lap belt, but the seat had its own 5 point belt for baby. A
long time ago now, of course.
