If I hire a car on the "swiss" side of Geneva airport am I allowed to drive back and forth into France at will without invalidating the insurance (I thought you was only allowed to drive Hire cars in the countery they were hired in unless specifically stated) Also do Hire cars normally carry the "Motorway Vignette" ticket I will need or do people normally buy them themselves. Thanks

In the case of Geneva it would be daft if it wasn't permitted. It is possible to hire cars on the French side but last time I checked it was more expensive. Ask the hire company is the most reliable way.

It was something like £20 for 12 months if I remember when we took our own car some years ago. As for border crossing, check with rental company as some do and some do not.
