OT:Driving Hire car in/out of Swizerland Q
If I hire a car on the "swiss" side of Geneva airport am I allowed to drive
back and forth into France at will without invalidating the insurance (I
thought you was only allowed to drive Hire cars in the countery they were
hired in unless specifically stated)

Also do Hire cars normally carry the "Motorway Vignette" ticket I will need
or do people normally buy them themselves.

Thanks

I did it (but about 15 years ago).

In the case of Geneva it would be daft if it wasn't permitted.

It is possible to hire cars on the French side but last time I checked it
was more expensive.

Ask the hire company is the most reliable way.

Swiss car hire is cheaper generally size for size and from those we have
hired over the years all came with the motorway vignette fitted to the
windscreen. It was something like £20 for 12 months if I remember when we
took our own car some years ago. As for border crossing, check with rental
company as some do and some do not.
