tragic case
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/lincolnshire/7517468.stm
Father charged over death crash
A Lincolnshire father has appeared before magistrates charged with causing
the deaths of four of his children by dangerous driving.
Nigel Gresham's Land Rover went into the River Witham at Tattershall Bridge
on 16 September 2007.
His children, Willow, two, Angel, four, Thor, six, and Keavy, eight, all
died.
Mr Gresham, 37, of Witham Drive, Chapel Hill, was granted bail at Grantham
magistrates. He will appear at Lincoln Crown Court on 29 July.
At Monday's hearing he spoke only to confirm his name and address.
'Evidence reviewed'
As the details of the case were read out to the court Mr Gresham took off
his glasses and rubbed his eyes.
Magistrates decided the case was too serious for them to deal with and
referred it to crown court.
Mr Gresham and his partner Sara Bolland, 31, were with their seven children
when the crash happened.
Before the hearing, Jaswant Kaur Narwal, chief crown prosecutor for
Lincolnshire, said: "This is a very sad case and we have spent a great deal
of time reviewing the evidence and considering the public interest before
making the decision to prosecute.
"It is not a decision which has been taken lightly given the tragic deaths
of Mr Gresham's children and the loss he has suffered as their father."
I wonder what the outcome of the case will be.

To be fair, with names like that, he's probably saved the taxpayer a
fortune in future benefit payments.

Oh, and the other three are Star, Liam & Amber.

Jaswant Kaur Narwal? What's wrong with that?
Jaswant - means "Victorious"
Kaur - standard female middle name for Sikhs, equivalent to Singh
(I'm sure she knows how to use an apostrophe, too)
Or are you just letting your BNP membership card show again...?

Well, he's dead now, but he was an absolutely lovely bloke. Loved fine
food and drink - just didn't see why it should be the preserve of "the
privileged". Treated everybody equally, no matter who they were or their
background.
Meanwhile, you proclaim somebody's name as ridiculous solely because it
doesn't come from the same heritage as you do.
