FFS, my point is a person who lives only to 60 is at 100% of their life when they're 60. A person who lives to 100 is only at 60% of their life when they are 60, so they are the way the first person was when they were 36!

Dancing cheektocheek is really a form of floor play.

Someone at 60 is never the same as someone at 36. Can't be done!

A van carrying a dozen movie stunt men on the way to a film location in the mountains spun out of control on the icy road,
crashed through a guardrail, rolled down a 90-foot embankment, turned over, and burst into flames.
There were no injuries.

There are too many factors for unarguable identity to be possible, but
in general terms of health, fitness, energy, etc., I have been rather
startled to notice on occasional spontaneous short hill walks in
lovely weather that it's not hard to find people in their mid 30s who
become distressingly exhausted trying to keep up with what I, in my
mid 60s, thought was a slow amble up a hill, and who complain of more
joint pains in the knees than I have ever suffered from. Generally
speaking they're overweight car owners with desk jobs who take no
exercise who hadn't realised how far their fitness had degenerated in
the ten years since they last walked up a steep hill.
A few hundred yards up a steep hill I think it's not unreasonable to
say that I feel a lot younger than they do, despite being 30 years
older.

Being off the bike at the moment, I'm both looking forward to and dreading
getting back on the bike. I *know* I've had a loss in fitness. When I get
back on the bike, it's going to hurt, but at the same time, I want to get
back on. I'm desparately missing it - especially on a day like today. Doing
lots of chauffeur duties has given me a nasty case of chauffeur's 4r$3...
bah!
Also when cycling regularly, even when obese, I have experienced occasions
when my level of fitness was demonstrably higher than some slim, young thing
who obviously takes no exercise. I have allowed myself the odd smug moment
when as a fat-forty-something, I've sped past the
slim-but-unfit-twenty-something who is out of breath walking up stairs...
