Venus sports.
I have just bought a new lit from www.venussports.co.uk .
I have to say I am impressed with the service and price (66ukp for a
EL610).
I ordered the lit on Tuesday evening, and the postman tried delivering
it Thursday morning, so I picked it up on the way to work today, this is
despite the website claiming a 3-5 day wait. I doubt I will be using the
company much, being as they are aimed more at the ladies.
Does anyone else own an EL610, (or a lit with a similar charger)?
The destructions for the charger mention something about the charging
LED being red flashing, or green ON. I have trouble telling the
difference between red and green LEDs. Is there a red on state?, or does
being lit continuously mean it is green?

I am quite impressed with this thing, 3 hours light at 15,000 candles,
or nine hours light at (at a guess) 4-5k candles. I used it in anger
down the b2b tonight (Sunday) at about 20:30, and in the nine hour mode,
it has about enough light to cycle at a reasonable speed along an unlit
tree lined section. In full mode it is probably better than my 10+6W
cateye halagon dual daylight lit was, that I used use along there.
The lit also comes with a flashing mode (36 hours run time), which I
don't think I will be using much. Note on the box it says:
"For UK customers, When used for cycling this light should be used in
conjunction with a BS 6102/3 cycle light" ;-)
Oddly it came fully charged, and when I tried following the initial
charging destructions, it would not charge up. The initial charging
destructions claim that when it does not charge the first time, you
should keep trying to charge it. Odd.
