Anyone been to the Montserrat Massif in Spain
Thinking of doing a long weekend with these guys:
http://www.climbcatalunya.com/mont.php#weekend
I'm something of a novice, having just done indoor stuff for most of
this year.
And, given previous conversations about how quiet it is here, which
Web forums are useful for climbing related stuff nowadays?

Looks nice. Actually, on a miserable December day the thought of lovely
warm sun-kissed limestone is more than nice. :)

A great and very quiet place to climb. The rock is a conglomerate
consisting oif quite large pebbles, it' very trustworthy but it takes
some time to adjust to it ;)

Quite. I went almost 6 years ago, spent ages hacking through bushes
to the foot of the climb, took 1 long look at the distance to the
first bolt, and went for a walk instead.
If you have a guide to show you the way, and they'll lead, or you have
good runout coping strategies, then go for it. It is a lovely spot,
if you can put up with the crowds of pilgrims and other tourists. The
monastery hotel was good, and not too expensive, we were there just
before Easter.
