Plas-Yn-Dre Hotel, towards the Eastern end of Stryd Fawr(Main Street)
was a good place a few years ago. There are a few good value eateries
in Bala, Sospan Fach(if it's still open) - at the other end of the
road is another good one.
Never tried "The Ship", so cannot comment.
