Hi Bill.
If you recall a while back in our comm regarding the Hymer Nova 545 water
system filling you wrote.

what my book says

>-*HYMER Sanitary Fittings 10
>o o Filling the Water System with Fresh Water (Swing/Nova)
> Position the caravan horizontally.
> Connect the 240 V power supply and switch on the safety cut-out (66).
> Switch off the operating switch (75): The red control lamp (75,1) is no
> longer illuminated.
> Close the drainage valve. Close the white valve cap (76,1) by turning it
> clockwise. =11
> Place water pump in the fresh water canister and close the cap tightly.
> Set all the water taps to central position "Hot" and open them. This will
> turn on the water pump.
> Keep the taps open until the water has no bubbles in it. This is the only
> way to ensure that the boiler is also full of water.
> Set all water taps to "Cold" and leave them open. This will fill the cold
> water pipes with fresh water.
> Keep the taps open until the water flowing out of the taps has no bubbles
> in it.
> Close all the water taps.
> Close the fresh water filler neck.

Well checked my book and say's same thing word for word, could have sworn it
mentioned
filling hot water system by useing metal connector for pump and outside
switch to fill,
however it did not.

I did phone Lowdhams @Nottingham and spoke to a gent in the servicing
section and he
did say it was ok to fill hot water system useing metal connection and pump
+outside
switch providing hot taps were in open position,so doing as the dealer had
mentioned
did work ok without damage to seals.

Have double checked that when system switched over to external pump works ok
just in case had
done some damage to any seals, but worked fine direct from aquaroll.

Many thanks for help and info, much appreciated.

Sorry not to have replied earlier, we have just got back from a very
sunny fortnight away in Somerset. I hope you enjoy your hymer as much
as I enjoy mine. Five and a half years now and my new van is still
giving me as much pleasure as it did when I collected it, the nice
thing is having total confidence in the way it is built. Surprisingly
the things that I accepted as a compromise when we bought it have
proved to be it's most user friendly bits, the cooker and the sink
unit combines is the best system I have ever used in a caravan.
