Fuel prices in France - up to date information
Here is a site that may be useful http://www.prix-carburants.gouv.fr/

It is in French but should be easy to use.

Just tick the box for fuel type:-
Gazole = Diesel
GPL = Gas
SP95 = (Sans plomb), Petrol 95 octane

 Type in your town into "Cherchez une commune" or the Department you are
interested in into "Selectionnez un department" and click the relevant
"Valider"or click on the map. Alternatively, click on the map to select
department and then select the town ""Commune" from the alphabetic list.
The site is French government run and updated regularly.

To the right-hand side of the opening page there is also a route planner.

Most useful, Thanks Jim.
I found this site last year, but failed to bookmark it (doh!) and have
been searching for it since.
