Alko aks hitch?
Hello all.

Have just got a C5 with a removable swan neck. so need a Alko aks hitch.
Question what model number the van is a Adria 400 900kg empty will a 1300
model do? or is it the bigger the better as regards the hitch?

George.

Look at caravans which come with Al Ko stabilizers fitted not seen one
myself with a 1300.

Not sure of the logic here ...

You don't 'need' a stabilising hitch i.e. the Al-Ko AKS.

The swan neck tow bar doesn't need an Al-Ko AKS hitch.

You may want a stabilising hitch and the swan neck hitch may be
(probably is) compatible with the Al-Ko AKS.

Ratings for the AKS 1300 are on the leaflet on the Al-Ko site:
http://www.al-ko.co.uk/Downloads/AKS1300Stabiliser(2001).pdf or
http://www.al-ko.co.uk/edit/files/support/AKS1300Handbook.pdf or
http://www.al-ko.co.uk/edit/files/support/AKS1300TriplePackHandbook.pdf

Leaflets for the other models are on the site, too, in the unlikely
event that the 1300 is not adequate - 1360kg max.. There was also a
diagram with the required clearances for the AKS head but I couldn't
find it this time.
