That's not exactly true. As the voltage is reduced bulb life increases
non-linearly.

Sorry, I got carried away and used intemperate language. As to reading
something I don't need to, well, I don't know what the post says until I've
opened it and read it and then it's too late to say, "I didn't need to read

And if I should own a car would that not then interest me? Mind you, I'm not
saying if I own a car or if I do not own a car for it is very dangerous to
divulge too much personal information on the cyber highways. (I'm a silver

It's called giving someone a chance , 3 cross post off topic, I was asking a
question why the rest of the thread is not cross posted just his reply. I
was giving him a chance to explain which he has not

Damn right they are, I had to pay 75p for one last week as I didn't have my
£1.99 lidl spare set with me.
Not that it helped as I slammed the door after changing the lamp and the
door lock broke and I couldn't get in and out and it had to go to the garage
anyway.

Don't forget how TIME CONSUMING replacing a brake light can be.

Clearly you shouldn't use your brakes AT ALL.

have you ever tried changing the brake lights bulbs on a Land Rover4
Discovery with the rear seats fitted. That is time consuming.......

Car is an auto, so the brakes are used more out of necessity.

Not the expense. It's the aggravation of removing the light cluster to
change them. Only to find, two weeks later, that the other side has
gone... ;-)
