Camping Soleil Plage at the Dordogne:

Very nice and not too far for you. You can make a kayak trip from the
camping.
But it may be full booked allready now.

In the Provence: most campings sites near the Ardèche river, and when you
want it small and cosy: "La Grenouille" in Goudargues: small camping just
under the church tower in the middle of a very nice village (see photos
http://www.zoover.be/frankrijk/languedoc_roussillon/goudargues_gard/la_grenouille/camping/fotos)
Have a nice trip

We really like "Camping Ma Prairie" in Canet-en-Rousillon - it is however
right over the other side almost in Spain.

Bit quieter than PACA though.
