bad airport design & liability for damage
Suppose an airport deliberately lays its arrival area out so that
you have to weave through a perfume/booze shop after collecting
your suitcases. If you have a trolley full of luggage and
accidentally collide with some of the precarious displays of
goods, are you liable, or is the airport or shop "contributory"
for making it difficult for you to carry out a basic function in
the airport?

thanks

I know exactly which airport your talking about. I thought
the same thing, I tended not to go in there before as I
often have a bag over my shoulder and it's all to easy to
knock things over.

Contributory, for sure, and I don't think you'd need a top barrister
to argue that the damage is 100% the fault of the airport for forcing
passengers to drive trolleys and luggage through a shop with a fragile
environment.
