Application Support Engineer

Responsibilities: · Demonstrate excellent troubleshooting skills for
all tiers of web applications. · Deploy patches and new releases of
applications on Windows environments. · Scripting, configuration of
application components and environments, testing, documentation of
activities. · Provide day-to-day technical and functional expertise ·
Document processes and configurations

Travel Requirements:

Skills and Expertise: Essential: · Understanding of .NET and Classic
ASP development Experience in maintenance, management, deployment and/
or monitoring web-based applications, such as portals (Liferay),
WebLogic, JBOSS, etc · Successful completion of one or more
certification programs, MCSE or MCP (Windows 2003 Server); BEA
Certified Developer, Administrator or Architect · Experience in
supporting MS Biztalk, MS Reporting Services and Microstrategy
Software

Education and Experience: Essential: · Experience working as an web
application support or application deployment with Systems
Administration background preferred (4 – 5 years) · Experience in
administration, maintenance or support of applications running in IIS,
MS SQL and Classic ASP environments (4 – 5 years) · Experience in
writing batch and SQL scripts for automating tasks in Windows (2 – 3
years) · Experience on Microsoft Windows 2003 platforms (4 – 5 years)
· Experience with MS SQL databases ( 4 – 5 years) · Ability to clearly
communicate in writing, visually, and verbally is important ·
Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Information Technology
