The Ombudsman has a 9 to 12 month lead time Intelligent Finance has now offered to backdate interest but only if I deposit £20,000 with them I will have still lost 30 days of interest and numerous hours on the telephone Unfortunately the letter of resolution was so badly written that I believe legally it promises nothing As a warning to other potential victims - DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY Bradford and Bingley / Abbey National have given no such problems Good tip: Always open an online savings account with the minimum balance (usually £1)
