I'm looking for any data or report that summarises percentile
distribution of income in the UK (as a whole, or by region/county).

Basically, I need to field questions like: What percentage of the UK
population earns over £28,000pa?

I've looked at the ONS and Revenue websites, apart from a number of
academic/research sites. The closest I get is this report:

Can anyone suggest a better source please?
And before :-) someone suggests it - no, this is not getting someone
else to do my homework for me! Just after some facts to end a debate.
