Can you recomend a reliable accountant
Hi

I run a small computer consultancy business and for various reasons I need
to change accountants.

My accounts are very simple, about 12 sales and probably less than 100
purchase invoices each year. Left to my own devices I tend to ignore my
accounts and get myself in trouble with the revenue, so ideally they would
be willing hassle me to complete / sign what ever needs to be done, before
the fines start coming through the letter box.

I'm based in NW Surrey near the M25/M3 junction, not that fussy where they
are, but I would like to be able to contact them evenings, weekend and via
email.

cheers

Thanks for that Brian, I take the trouble to mask the return email address

posts it back.
I'll forward the spam to you shall ?

I don't usually respond to these requests but you are close to me. I'm
in SW19 so if you are interested in contacting me please do so.

I'll ask for information and remind you when deadlines are coming but
it's your responsibility to provide me with the information in good
time. I'm not looking for clients who take nine months to send me
information and then want everything done and submitted in nine days.

What mask?

Do you think you are hiding the jassira53@ address? You are not. It is

I'd recommend my Chartered Accountant and he's in Twickenham, pretty
much "on the M3".

A small firm - relatively cheap - but with a big profile and plenty of
punch.

btw - Peter why do you not respond to these requests? I have built a

Noted (and thanks for kind words!)

Bear in mind that I am one of very few on this ng to completely identify
myself and my professional qualifications. I am happy to do so and
give free helpful advice in the spirit of ng's but by so putting my head
above the parapet I feel a disclaimer is appropriate.

Usually because they're too far away.

I have clients in Italy, Switzerland, Australia and New Zealand but I
try to stick to south west London. If I needed an accountant I would
look for one in that area. It's good to be able to get together or to
deliver documents at short notice. That's not to say that if someone
contacts me I would turn them down because of distance! Having said
that I would say I haven't seen many of my clients for a long time and
I deal with them by email, phone and fax. Just now there's one of my
clients involved in a high value and complex property deal and he
appreciates being able to come and see me at short notice because his
business is only about two miles from me and his home is about half a
mile away.

I actually quite like it myself, although I need to sort out some

What mask?

Do you think you are hiding the jassira53@ address? You are not. It is

Just now there's one of my
clients involved in a high value and complex property deal and he
appreciates being able to come and see me at short notice because his
business is only about two miles from me and his home is about half a
mile away.

I like Jon's website. When I get some time I want to revamp mine -

I actually quite like it myself, although I need to sort out some
issues, mostly content related. It is a real pain keeping the content

Just now there's one of my
clients involved in a high value and complex property deal and he
appreciates being able to come and see me at short notice because his
business is only about two miles from me and his home is about half a
mile away.

I'd recommend my Chartered Accountant and he's in Twickenham, pretty
much "on the M3".

A small firm - relatively cheap - but with a big profile and plenty of
punch.
