Last year, we had a bumper crop of Victoria plums off our two trees - I
had to prop some branches up to stop them breaking. This year, not a
single plum on either of them. Some plum trees seem to have a "rest"
year following a bumper harvest, but I think a critical period this
spring may have been bad for pollination, while our apples, which flower
later, have cropped as well as last year.
