From Elsewhere (There IS a Vets/Govt Conspiracy)
Posted elsewhere from somewhere in Derbyshire:
Well, as some of you will know, this government is trying to
kill off farming. Well, today I discovered that they have
help.
Yep, they are in league with the VETS.
THE VETS challenged the local farmers to a social game of
rounders. I can hardly blooming well walk. It's a conspiracy
to bump the farmers off in what seems like a friendly way.
Yes, rounders with a bat, several balls because there was a
LOT of cheating going on and 4 bases plus a lot of pulling
and shoving. Oh and it was in a recently vacated cow field
and still had some very fresh cow pats in it, just near the
bases I might add.
It would appear from my observations today that vets have
the lowest of the low when it comes to morals.
They had poles sticking up for bases but they did seem to be
stuck in a cow pat, hence the odd shape of the pitch. There
were not too many clean farmers at the end of the match. The
vets did seem to be remarkably clean though. Next time we'll
be ready for 'em.
Some of the farmers had remarkable batting skills and hit
the ball way over the field only to have another ball turn
up from nowhere and touch a base to get them out.

The subject heading could be made the basis of complaint to the

Promises much, delivers nothing.
You would be better relying on me.
