What the Auditor writes.
The Auditor has replied to me today. His letter can be seen here.
http://definitivemap.blogspot.com I shall be pressing the Auditor to
take further action and make further enquiries. Ipswich is one of the
few towns in the UK not to have a definitive map of its Public Rights
of Way. The Ramblers Association has been pressing for one since it
became a legal requirement in 1981. John Hunt and Suffolk Rights Of
Way have been pressing for one for the last two years and each time
the answer has been SCC cannot afford it. What kind of example is that
to the youth of today? If you cannot afford to stay legal don't
bother? Why are so many people today driving around without insurance?
The answer is obviously because they cannot afford it? Why is this
deplorable example being given by SCC? If you wish to comment in
confidence I am listening at turtill@gmail.com
