Registered Company, didnt do paperwork, need company now
I registered a company a few years ago, then it got very difficult.
Now I need the company again, or something I can put in its place, and
I do need a VAT number.

Can I just go to my formation company and reopen it?
Should I try to find out if I would be opening a can of worms first?

Would it be possible to open another company in its place?
I have already used to company name with the address of the
registration company,
and I also have Bank accounts in the name of the company that i would
like to keep.

I live on the continent, without connection to the UK, and I think it
can be difficult to track me down.

I took money out of the company, but I think if I had done accounting
correctly it wouldn't have been much surplus,
the easiest thing for everybody would be to forget about it. (Also I
can afford to put the money back).

Lastly, I know I should be talking to a professional, but they are not
so easy to find around here :-(

Thanks

For starters go to www.companieshouse.gov.uk/webcheck and see what the
status of your company is.
